Running research natively in Indian languages

Half of India's consumers do not speak English at home. Research that translates after the fact loses exactly the nuance it was looking for.

Most research tooling was built for English first and everything else second. In India that assumption breaks immediately. A consumer in Coimbatore, Guwahati, or Indore will give a richer, more honest answer in Tamil, Assamese, or Hindi than in a second language, and the words they choose carry meaning that a later translation flattens.

Opinio Flow runs each conversation natively in the respondent's language. The interviewer asks, listens, and probes in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, and more, as well as in English and the major global languages. Transcripts and quality scores are produced in the original language and summarised for the research team.

This matters for reach, because it opens up respondents who would never have joined an English-only study. It matters more for depth, because it captures the reaction as it was actually felt.
